MegaRoms is a platform that provides access to custom Android ROMs, installation guides, community forums, and related resources. We facilitate the distribution of ROMs developed by independent developers and maintainers.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Be responsible for all activities under your account

3.2 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in harmful activities.

4. User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

  • Upload or distribute malicious software, viruses, or malware
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Spam, phish, or engage in fraudulent activities
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Reverse engineer or exploit our platform
  • Post false, misleading, or defamatory content

5. ROM Distribution and Usage

5.1 ROM Disclaimer

Custom Android ROMs are provided by independent developers. We do not create, modify, or endorse these ROMs. Installation of custom ROMs:

  • May void your device warranty
  • Carries risk of data loss or device damage
  • Is performed entirely at your own risk
  • May violate manufacturer terms of service

5.2 No Warranty

ROMs are provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind. We make no guarantees regarding functionality, stability, security, or compatibility.

5.3 Download Mirrors

We provide links to third-party download mirrors (Google Drive, Mega, etc.). We are not responsible for the availability, security, or content of these external services.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Platform Content

The MegaRoms platform design, code, logos, and original content are owned by us and protected by copyright and trademark laws.

6.2 User-Generated Content

By posting content (reviews, forum posts, bug reports), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content on our platform.

6.3 ROM Licenses

ROMs may be subject to their own licenses (GPL, Apache, etc.). Users must comply with the applicable licenses for each ROM.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • We are not responsible for device damage, data loss, or bricking caused by ROM installation
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
  • Our total liability shall not exceed $100 USD

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MegaRoms, its developers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the platform or violation of these Terms.

9. Privacy

Your use of our platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we collect and use your information.

10. Third-Party Services

Our platform integrates with third-party services:

  • Supabase: Authentication and database services
  • Download Mirrors: Google Drive, Mega, OneDrive, Gofile, etc.
  • AI Services: For ROM comparison features

These services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their practices or availability.

11. Modifications to Service and Terms

11.1 Service Changes

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our service at any time without notice.

11.2 Terms Updates

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notification.

12. Dispute Resolution

12.1 Governing Law

Important Warnings

  • Device Warranty: Installing custom ROMs will void your device manufacturer warranty.
  • Data Loss Risk: Always backup your data before installing any ROM. Data loss is common during installation.
  • Bricking Risk: Incorrect installation may render your device unusable ("bricked"). Proceed only if you understand the risks.
  • No Support Obligation: We are not obligated to provide technical support for ROM installation or issues.
  • User Responsibility: You accept full responsibility for any consequences of using ROMs from this platform.
